The workshop grew out of the need to make things properly. It began as the production backbone of DanielPalacios Studio and gradually became a space with its own pace, internal logic, and technical culture. Tools and processes were introduced one by one, each in response to a specific problem within a larger project. Over time, this multidisciplinary way of working shaped a workshop where prototyping is fast, production remains fully controlled, and making is inseparable from thinking.
The work developed here spans several disciplines. What connects these projects is not a single discipline, but an attitude: care for material itself, attention to detail, and the combination of multiple techniques to arrive at solutions that could not exist otherwise. PACA is not a factory. It is not a catalogue of services. It operates as a workshop where tools are acquired to solve specific problems, processes are adapted rather than standardized, and production stays closely tied to concept, context, and the material behavior.
Most of the workshop’s time is dedicated to in-house projects and long-term lines of research. External collaborations happen occasionally, when a project resonates and the conditions allow for meaningful involvement. We work with artists, architects, and designers on one-offs, short runs, and pieces that require close integration between design and fabrication.
If not yet, maybe tomorrow
Through different names, cities, and setups, the workshop has evolved alongside the projects it supports. What may seem eclectic is simply the natural result of solving multifaceted problems rather than specializing. This is not a list of services, but a snapshot of the workshop as it stands today. Tomorrow, it will likely be different.
